Winter Hiking in the Ötztal
Even in winter, nature-loving hiking enthusiasts in Längenfeld lace up their boots. Over 40 kilometres of cleared and groomed hiking trails invite you to wonderful tours in the valley basin. After fresh snowfall, the trails are cleared again as quickly as possible. Wondrous ice formations, deeply snow-covered forests – all of this accompanies hikers on their way through the wintry Ötztal. But if you would rather spend a hiking day in the mountains, you have a wide choice of huts that can be reached via easily walkable trails.
A Tobogganing Paradise: Längenfeld
For tobogganing fans, Längenfeld is truly a paradise. 5 toboggan runs with a total length of more than 18.5 kilometres provide huge fun for young and old. The runs from Längenfeld's toboggan huts can be combined perfectly with wonderful winter hikes. And after the ride, a hearty stop at one of the many huts is of course a must.
Ice Skating and Curling
Ice skating and curling on the two ice rinks in Längenfeld is a smooth affair! At the Unterlängenfeld sports ground, ice skaters have a perfectly prepared rink at their disposal. The rink is floodlit in the evening and, weather permitting, open during the winter months from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Ice skating on the Piburger See in Oetz is another very special experience.
Ski Touring
Nearby Gries is a true ski touring eldorado in winter. The wide variety of routes attracts guests from all over Tyrol every year to the beautiful landscape high above Längenfeld. The region offers countless varied tours, so that even ski touring enthusiasts won't be short-changed and can still discover plenty of new terrain even on the last day of their holiday.
